Happy Birthday Mark

We celebrated Marks 50th on the boat the other night, my heads still pounding. With a Birthday on the cards and feeling totally surfed out the boys hit it hard. Nimal dished up an amazing meal which was quickly forgotten about when the Patent Pending Liquid Beer Bong was produced, the lads thought all their Christmas's had come at once and set out to destroy the thing.

 

Fins, Cuts and Schooling the Kids

The boys have been going some solid ones, everyone's spent quality time bouncing on the reef. So after a day of getting flogged it was the old Dogs v the Pups, the kids had nothing except for young Ben who absolutely smashed his old man.

Why on earth would you go to the Maldives with anyone else??

Sorry it has to be said. Check this empty session out we had and tell me where the hell were the other boats? Are you kidding me! The truth will come out one day about this country. I should know better but I am still amazed that people buy the blatant lies that the surf travel companies sell them with their whole "we've got the best boats/guides". It must be said though that Tropic Surf turned up for a bit but everyone else, booo.

Maldives starting to fire up

As we hit mid season in the Maldives we start to see a much more active southern Indian Ocean. This is the time of year when you get a bit more consistency and hopefully some bigger swells. It's also the time that we get some strong trade winds but at the moment the winds are perfect and will be for a while.
