A few pics from a fun little water sesh we had right before the boys bailed.
This is a blog of the surf and experience of living in the Maldives, surfing everyday. When not surfing were fishing, drinking and generally having the best possible time. The Maldives is a great place for a surfing holiday as the surf is consistent and epic. Stay tuned to see what the crew and guests get up too, surfing the Maldives.

In the Am
The water tower session is done and dusted. We woke early the following morning to find that the wind had died completely, PERFECT. A quick motor and we arrived at this break by breakfast, it was small but the sets would bowl from start to finish. Three hours later and the wind picked up again, totally wrecking this break. Luckily we had another spot up our sleeve...

So the Forecasted wind hit and hit hard, 20 knots destroyed glassy 3ft peelers within minutes. We made the call to move to a sheltered break that evening to set ourselves up for the following day. Day broke and as the tide filled in it got better and better. We managed to get permission from the locals to scale a water tower for a better angle, I cant wait to shoot from there when this wave really turns on.

With cold beers in the refrigerator and Nimal busy in the kitchen it's time to jet back to the boat, check the forecast and head for the airport.

Maldives firing!
I don't know what the hell happened I found this wave that was 3 times the size of anything else in the area I was in. The afternoon session was bigger and cleaner than this! Not bad for February.
